Boeing Co. and Ethiopian Airlines said Tuesday the carrier agreed to an initial order 11 787 Dreamliner and 20 737 MAX airplanes or up to a maximum of 26 787s and 41 737 Max planes in what the companies described as the largest-ever purchase of Boeing airplanes in African history.

DUBAI, Nov 13 (Reuters) – An Airbus (AIR.PA) spokesperson said on Monday the planemaker and Turkish Airlines had reached an agreement in principle for a “significant commercial aircraft order”.

The state-owned flagship Dubai carrier, a subsidiary of Emirates Group, is ordering 55 additional Boeing 777-9s and 35 777-8s, bringing the airline’s total orders for the 777X widebody jets to 205 units.

Canada’s Bombardier reported third-quarter results on Thursday that beat analysts’ estimates, helped by robust demand for pricier business jets and strength in its aftermarket business.

LONDON, Oct 17 (Reuters) – Rolls-Royce said on Tuesday it would cut up to 2,500 jobs as its new chief executive seeks to build a more efficient business, the latest boss to attempt to revamp one of Britain’s most prestigious engineering companies.

Lockheed Martin reported a miss in their aeronautics revenue segment within their third quarter earnings on Tuesday. Segment revenues fell 5% year over year with the company saying F-35 jets face delivery delays amid heightened demand.

Oct 15 (Reuters) – Global demand for new business jets is expected to stay strong over the next decade, Honeywell (HON.O) said on Sunday, as the engine maker projected deliveries of about 8,500 new planes through 2033.

DUBLIN, Sept 28 (Reuters) – Ryanair ) announced cuts to its winter schedule on Thursday due to delays in the delivery of Boeing (BA.N) aircraft, but Europe’s largest airline by passenger numbers said its full-year traffic forecast was unaffected “as yet”.

Boeing’s business is getting better. The commercial aerospace giant published its annual commercial market outlook Tuesday evening. The demand for new planes is higher than the company projected in its 2022 outlook. Travel demand from China is a big reason why.
