Shares of U.S. solar energy companies tumbled in extended trade on Monday after Republicans who control the U.S. Senate Finance Committee unveiled changes to President Donald Trump’s sweeping tax-cut and spending bill that would phase out solar, wind and energy tax credits by 2028.

Enphase stock plunged Wednesday after the solar technology company missed on both top and bottom lines in its latest earnings report and said tariffs would hit margins in the current quarter.

Enphase Energy Inc. shares fell more than 12% in the extended session Tuesday after the maker of solar microinverters and battery systems reported weaker quarterly results and called for lower sales ahead.
