LOS ANGELES, Sept 24 (Reuters) – Hollywood’s writers union reached a preliminary labor agreement with major studios on Sunday, a deal expected to end one of two strikes that have halted most film and television production and cost the California economy billions.

Hipgnosis Songs Fund is planning to sell 29 catalogues to Hipgnosis Songs Capital for $440 million and a portfolio of non-core songs for $25 million to fund a share buyback program and reduce debt, as part of a plan to boost its share price.
