Shares of Swedish defense giant Saab jumped on Friday morning, after the company reported stronger-than-expected profit and sales growth for the second quarter.

Saab AB has received an order from Sweden for additional combat boats. The Swedish defense and aerospace company will supply 22 combat boats in a deal valued at 900 million Swedish krona (SEK).

Swedish defence equipment maker Saab expects to report 2024 organic sales growth of 23.4%, it said on Friday, above its previous outlook at the upper end of a 15-20% range.
