Comcast beat estimates for quarterly profit on Tuesday as strong growth in its Peacock streaming service and a smaller-than-expected loss in broadband customers helped overcome weakness in its studio and theme parks business.

AT&T Inc.’s stock fell 3% early Friday, after the telecommunications giant said hackers unlawfully accessed and copied call logs containing records of customer calls and texts from the period stretching from May 1 to Oct. 31, 2022, as well as on Jan. 2, 2023.

O ΟΤΕ εξέδωσε στις 27 Ιουνίου 2024 ομόλογo ύψους €40 εκατ. λήξεως Οκτωβρίου 2024. Σύμφωνα με τη σχετική ανακοίνωση, η απόδοση διαμορφώθηκε σε 3,997% ετησίως. Ακόμη τονίζεται ότι το νέο ομόλογο αναλήφθηκε πλήρως από την Deutsche Telekom AG.

BT Group shares rose after the company said Mexican billionaire and telecommunications entrepreneur Carlos Slim Helu bought a 3.16% stake, making him the latest prominent investor to back the U.K. company.

T-Mobile announced Tuesday that it plans to acquire most of U.S. Cellular, including stores, some of the wireless operator’s spectrum and its customers, in a deal worth $4.4 billion. The deal includes cash and up to $2 billion of debt.

Σε διαβούλευση έως τις 12 Ιουνίου έθεσε η ΕΕΤΤ (Εθνική Επιτροπή Τηλεπικοινωνιών και Ταχυδρομείων) τη νέα πρόταση του ΟΤΕ προς τις Vodafone και Nova για τις εκπτώσεις όγκου στην χονδρική των συνδέσεων FTTH (δίκτυο οπτικών ινών μέχρι τα σπίτια και τις επιχειρήσεις) έως και 28%.

 T-Mobile US raised its annual forecast for growth in monthly bill-paying phone subscribers on Thursday, as more people take to its plans that bundle high-speed internet with access to streaming services.

AT&T beat Wall Street’s earnings expectations, but missed on sales and some key subscriber metrics in the first quarter, underscoring the struggle for telecom operators to grow sustainably in a hypercompetitive market.
