Oct 25 (Reuters) – Ratings agency Moody’s reported higher-than-expected profit in the third quarter on Wednesday, helped by strong demand for its research and analytics.

LONDON, Oct 24 (Reuters) – Euro zone business activity took a surprise turn for the worse this month as demand fell in a broad-based downturn across the region, a survey showed, entering the fourth quarter on the wrong foot and suggesting the bloc may slip into recession.

Oct 24 (Reuters) – General Electric on Tuesday raised its full-year profit forecast for a third time this year after quarterly earnings topped Wall Street estimates on robust demand for jet engine parts and services and a better performance in its renewable business.

Verizon Communications Inc. upped its free-cash-flow expectations for the year, and shares of the telecommunications company were headed about 2% higher in Tuesday’s premarket trading.

Spotify Technology swung to its first quarterly profit in more than a year after beating expectations for subscriber and revenue growth. However, this was not enough to keep the stock rising after a strong run this year.
