Software stocks have had a wild ride this week but perhaps none more so than Zscaler (ZS). The cybersecurity company’s shares fell 9% ahead of the open Friday despite beating earnings estimates after the bell Thursday.

Zscaler posted better-than-expected financial results and raised its full-year guidance, but the security-software stock lost ground nevertheless on hints that management intends to boost spending.
