Πρόκειται για τη δεύτερη μεγάλη επένδυση που υλοποιείται στη χώρα τα τελευταία χρόνια στον τομέα της ηλεκτροπαραγωγής με καύσιμο το φυσικό αέριο και το νέο εργοστάσιο αναμένεται να αποτελέσει την 12η μονάδα συνδυασμένου κύκλου στο εγχώριο ηλεκτρικό σύστημα.
